Stable Owners Association of Alberta will strive to improve communication and familiarity among the equine community.

Who are We?
Founded in 2022, the purpose of the Stable Owners Association of Alberta (a registered not for profit) is to promote communication among stable owners and managers in Alberta and to provide a unified voice for the stable owners when addressing issues that affect the equine community.
The association represents a diverse community of stable owners ranging from lifestyle only stable owners to small family run stables, to large equestrian centres.
The association is committed to promoting best practices in horse care, stable management and equine welfare, while fostering a supportive and connected community.
Each year we host three ZOOM meetings discussing relevant information on stable issues (November through March) and one face to face conference weekend in January.

- Partner with organizations, communities and publications to advertise Equine and agricultural events to showcase equine facilities and programs in a given community.
- Grow the horse industry by generating more customers who may be new to the horse world.
- Strengthen relationships between equine and other integral businesses (veterinary services, truck and trailer sales, professional services, etc.)
- Develop the understanding that horses and the activities of stable owners are, indeed, agriculture and need to be respected, defined and assessed as such.
- Developing Specific Bio-Security Protocol
- Communicate local and provincial health issues to the greater industry.
